A lot of the Arsenal Reports so far have covered pitchers making changes for intuitive reasons that have led to improved results. This week is a little bit different, as our main section covers a pitcher that made a big change for non-obvious reasons that we try to unpack. The hardest part of the analysis we do in this column is usually figuring out why the change was made as opposed to what change was made, so this is an interesting chance to dig deep and try to figure out a tough one.
