Baseball Savant Tutorial #2: Spin-Based and Observed Movement

This is a change of pace from what usually runs in the Arsenal Report. We decided to take this time in the offseason to explain some of the process behind the column.

Baseball Savant is one of the key tools used in the column and in much of contemporary baseball analysis, as it is the primary host of Statcast data. It is a site that is designed to be user-friendly, but like most sites with large amounts of information it can take some getting used to. We are hoping to accelerate that process for BHQ users here with a series of how-to videos, where we walk through some of the main tools that Baseball Savant has to offer.
