The Northwest League (High-A) is the smallest league in affiliated baseball. However, it sports a strong contingent of prospects. Last week, I covered Rockies prospects Adael Amador, Jordan Beck, Yanquiel Fernandez, and Gabriel Hughes. This week, we’ve got several more prospects to check in on from the Northwest League.
Sterlin Thompson (3B, COL) – Thompson has been one of the best performers in the Northwest League this year. Entering play on Wednesday, the 31st overall pick in the 2022 draft is slashing .398/.458/.681 with 6 HR, 12 2B and 8 SB in 30 games.
