The first two articles in the Eyes Have it series will be based off video looks from the MLB Spring Breakout games. Last week, we dove into some prospects in the Arizona Spring Breakout games. This week, we’ll dig deep into some prospects in the Florida Spring Breakout games. All the prospects covered I saw in person during the 2024 season. Enjoy!
Jett Williams (SS/OF, NYM; pictured) – Williams, 21, went 0 for 2 with a walk and a stolen base in the New York Mets’ Spring Breakout game. In big league camp, he struggled with a small sample size. However, his swing confirmed what we saw in the Arizona Fall League. His bat speed is back after struggling with a wrist injury all last season.
Williams is a strong, short-statured athlete....
