MINORS: Under-the-Radar Triple-A Batters

Last week, I had the pleasure of writing up Blue Jays prospect Davis Schneider (2B/OF) for our daily call-ups coverage. Schneider was a prospect I was unfamiliar with, but was thoroughly impressed by his statistical performance in his first taste of Triple-A. The 24-year-old boasted very impressive on-base ability and new-found power, earning his first call up to a major league club pushing for a playoff berth. He ended up going 6-for-9 with 2 HR in his first weekend of major league play.

This served as a reminder that there are prospects hiding in plain sight capable of making an impact sooner rather than later. At this point in the season, I tend to focus more on the lower levels, watching out for new names...
