MINORS: Ranking the prospects from 2017 trade season

The MLB non-waiver trade deadline period was a busy one in 2017, and got started early with the All-Star Break swap when the Cubs acquired José Quintana from the cross-town White Sox. And it ended with a bang, as the Dodgers snagging pitcher Yu Darvish from the Rangers in the last minutes before 4pm ET on July 31.

In between, a bevy of prospects exchanged hands, most of the time as currency for contenders to secure a proven big-league piece. There were a lot of names to keep track of, especially as fantasy teams in keeper leagues also look to the future.
