MINORS: Next year's hot prospects—The 2017 List

For several years now, we have been presenting a mid-season method for using baseball statistics to search for prospects about to pop up on Top 100 lists. Here are the previous articles in this series:

Last year we set stricter criteria:

  1. Any prospect must not be on that season's HQ100 List
  2. Only those players who started the year in Double-A prospects would be examined
  3. They must have been listed in the Minor League Baseball Analyst

Thus, we are looking for prospects who have had some notice by scouts, but not (yet) in our Top 100 list, but are now close enough to the majors and are putting up strong enough statistics that there is a good chance that several of these players will show up...
