MINORS: HQ100 ranking to future ADP (Part 1)

These spring days seem infinitely longer without baseball. I have enjoyed some aspects of the pandemic quarantine. Of course, the extra time at home with my wife has been a blessing. As much as I have enjoyed planting a garden, I do not get nearly as much enjoyment out of it than I do working in baseball.

Time away has led to reflection. Reflection always brings forth ideas. Ideas turn into research, which eventually turn into articles. My latest idea was a doozy. First, collect 20 years of HQ100 prospect lists. We’re talking everyone from Corey Patterson (#1, 2001) to Brailyn Marquez (#100, 2020). Then, collect NFBC ADPs from the past 5 years (2016-2020), take the data and cross-reference the ADPs with prospect rankings to see how...
