MINORS: The evolving scouting environment—hit tool evaluation

This weekend, I researched my next scouting article, “This, Not That—The Top Fantasy Prospect.” Essentially, in theory, the whole premise is to build a case individually for three prospects and we’ll decide who the top fantasy prospect in baseball really is for the format(s) you compete in.

Obviously, one of the prospects we’ll be dissecting is HQ100 top overall prospect Wander Franco, who we collectively rated a 10C prospect for the second offseason in a row. For clarity, while I wrote up the Rays organization for our website’s organization report and also wrote up the Rays for the Minor League Baseball Analyst, we all have input on any "10" potential ratings we assign.
