Welcome to the First Year Player Draft (FYPD) primer. We’ve published FYPD rankings in the 2021 and 2022 Minor League Baseball Analyst (MLBA). We made the decision not to include these rankings in the 2023 MLBA, mostly because I wanted to find a better way to cover FYPD and didn’t think the product was up to our standards or even my personal standards. We received feedback from book buyers who received digital copies, asking for a FYPD list be published to the site. Brent Hershey and I thought it was a good idea too!
