This week we continue our annual review of the top prospects in baseball by position. Between now and Opening Day, we'll examine one position a week by looking at both those rookies ready to contribute in the big leagues now, as well as run-down of the top 15 long-term prospects at each position.

Starting pitching is the one position where almost all teams seem to have some depth. A quick review of the HQ 100 shows that 17 of the top 30 prospects are pitchers and 48 hurlers made our top 100 list. Unlike other years, however, there are few sure things and little for fantasy owners to get excited about.
