MINORS: 2013 top SP prospects

With the start of the regular season drawing near, we continue our annual review of the top prospects in baseball. This week we take a look at the top starting pitching prospects. Each year there is a group of talented young hurlers that establish themselves as rotation mainstays. Unfortunately, predicting which prospects will take the next step is not an easy task.

Last year's breakouts included some elite prospects such as Jarrod Parker (OAK), Matt Moore (TAM), and Yu Darvish (TEX), but also included less highly regarded prospects such as Wei-Yin Chen (BAL), Ryan Cook (OAK), Wade Miley (ARI), and Scott Diamond (MIN) who went undrafted out of college and at one point was a Rule 5 player.
