Peralta exists as a bit of an enigma. The 21-year-old held a 12.9 Dom rate last year and owns a plus fastball, but his velocity is just average and it comes out of a 5’11”, 175-pound frame. He owes much of his K ability to his ability to manipulate his fastball any way he wants to alongside a highly deceptive delivery. Peralta starts all the way on the third base side of the mound with a low-three-quarters, crossfire delivery, generating extreme extension.
