24-year-old Scott Barnes got the call as Travis Hafner hit the 15-day DL. With a career 3.87 ERA, Barnes has been quite consistent throughout his minor league career averaging a solid 9.3 Dom, 3.3 Ctl, and 2.8 Cmd. With his Ctl and Cmd trending in the right direction over the past three seasons things may be looking up for Barnes. His lack of a true plus pitch limits his overall potential but he should fill in nicely in the back end of Cleveland’s rotation.
STATS: 11 GS, 0-2 3.81 ERA, 28.1 IP, 9.5 Dom, 3.8 Ctl, 2.5 Cmd, .203 oppBA
