While Schultz is a bit undersized at 5’10” and 200 pounds, his lightning-quick arm speed has allowed his two primary pitches to grade at plus. His mid-90s fastball can reach the upper 90s and features good armside run, while his low-80s curveball is thrown from different slots and has late bite. There’s a changeup in here from his days as a starter, but it’s more a show-me pitch now. Schultz’s major issue has been poor command and control—a big reason for his move to the pen—something that’s continued to plague him here in 2018, with a 9.4 Ctl over 15.1 IP. He missed...
