SPECULATOR: Staff-killers no more?

Following last week's article where we snap-judged hitters, we had intended to take a similar look at pitchers this week. Problem is, our own staff ace, Starting Pitcher Buyers Guide columnist Stephen Nickrand, beat us to it. With two articles worth of early-season observations already, and another piece in the queue for tomorrow on the site, there was simply not much we could add to Stephen's fine work in this area.

In looking around for some gaps in Stephen's coverage, some place where we could add some insight, we did stumble across something interesting. In running some basic skills comparisons between 2014 and 2015, we kept noticing a theme among the skill gainers: There were some really bad pitchers who seemed to be showing...
