SPECULATOR: Skills in search of roles, continued

Last week, we took a look at players who own intriguing skill sets but currently lack a full-time playing opportunity. We made one big mistake in compiling that column: while we always try to strike a balance between AL and NL players, last week we covered 10 American League hitters out of the dozen players featured in the article. So, this week we'll rectify that with an NL-centric look at the same topic. Again, we'll segment the candidates based on their primary skill:
