SPECULATOR: Mulligans, part 1

Over the last couple of years, it has become evident that there is fertile, exploitable ground in the area of rebound candidates. The concept of recency bias tells us that we overreact to performance swings; approaches like Xtreme Regression Drafting (XRD) seek to take advantage accordingly. In a successful implementation of an XRD approach, it is critically important to properly identify the right pool of target players.

This week and next, we'll get an early start on that exercise, as we take a look at some of 2012's biggest underperformers and identify those that we think deserve a "mulligan" on their 2012 disappointment.
