The Injury: Left elbow surgery and hernia surgery, October 2011
The Outlook: Hamels got off to a slow start at the start of spring training because of his recovery from these surgeries.
What to Watch this Spring:There have not been any signs of elbow or hernia issues this spring, which is a good sign.
Draft Risk Factor: Low. We can’t disregard the surgery last fall but it appears that Hamels is recovered and it shouldn’t be an issue, thus you should draft him without any concern as of now.

Stephen Strasburg (RHP, WAS)
The Injury: Coming off Tommy John surgery late last season, Strasburg looked solid. He was missing a small amount of velocity and command of his pitches, which are not unusual.
