DR HQ: Notes on Longoria, Reimold

When you look at the replay where Evan Longoria (3B, TAM) slides into second base, you see him grab behind his left knee. Initial reports called it a knee injury, but as it turns out, he has a partially torn left hamstring. The diagnostic test confirmed the injury, and the estimated recovery time of six to eight weeks tells indicates that it's likely a Grade Two strain. Once he gets the green light to resume baseball related workouts, Longoria will need some time in a rehab assignment to shake the rust off his bat. Barring a setback, look for a return around the middle of June.
