Pujols out until early August?

The biggest recent injury news, of course, is that Albert Pujols (1B, STL) suffered a fractured radius in his left (non-throwing) forearm and will spend time on the disabled list. As it stands right now, the fracture is non-displaced (meaning the bones are in alignment) will not require surgery.

The press release by the Cardinals indicates he will miss 4-6 weeks. Based on the available information and my experience covering baseball injuries, that projection is woefully short. The true range is more...
