DR HQ: 2013 draft day risk summary

Even though the season is finally underway and some have completed their drafts, many others draft this week and into the weekend. Remember the lessons of Tuffy Rhodes of the Cubs and Brandon Webb of the Arizona. Rhodes hit three homers on Opening Day 1994 that greatly inflated his draft day price. He managed just eight for the season. And Webb opened up the 2009 season as the starting pitcher in the National League. Four innings into the season, Webb left with a sore shoulder, and never pitched in the majors again. Verlander and Kershaw owners: no one is invincible.
