Anthony Rizzo (1B, CHC), who has been sidelined since August 26 with a lower back strain, fielded ground balls and took some swings prior to a recent game in Toronto. The hope is that he can return to the lineup within the next few days, though that's no guarantee at this point. 

Mike Olt (3B, CHC) has been seeing most of the action at first base recently, and recorded his first three-hit game September 7. He's struck out four times in seven at-bats over the past two games, lowering his contact rate to 56 percent for the season. Those desperate for power and safe in batting average could take a chance on him if Rizzo remains sidelined, but if Rizzo continues to progress, Olt's playing time will surely take a hit.
