NEWS: Baltimore recalled RHP Brandon Young from AAA-Norfolk and placed RHP Cody Poteet on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation.

BHQ SPIN: Two days after optioning Young to AAA, Baltimore reversed course and promoted him back to the majors. Young’s promotion was the corresponding move to the placement of Cody Poteet, who was recalled on Sunday to give the team a fresh arm in the bullpen, on the IL. While Young is back with the team, it still remains to be seen whether he will factor into their rotation plans this week.
