NEWS: Arizona placed second baseman Ketel Marte on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain.

BHQ SPIN: Just two days after signing a new six-year, $116M extension, Marte was pulled from a game after straining his hamstring. The timeline for his return remains unclear, but the switch-hitting All-Star is eligible to return on April 15th. Tim Tawa was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move and immediately made his MLB debut, replacing Marte (-5% PT) at the keystone position.
