NEWS: San Francisco signed right-handed starter Justin Verlander to a one-year, $15M contract.

BHQ SPIN: Via their second notable offseason transaction, the Giants upgraded their pitching staff with a future Hall-of-Famer. Verlander, 42 in February, has spent 21 years in MLB, securing nine All-Star selections, three Cy Young Awards, two World Series rings, and an MVP Award. Most recently, the righty returned to Houston after spending a half season with the Mets following his last foRay into free agency. 2024 was arguably the worst season of his career as he spent time on the IL with shoulder and neck injuries while pitching to a 5.48 ERA (90.1 IP) and a 1.38 WHIP without rosy ERA...
