Tovar back at shortstop for Rockies

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Colorado Rockies
NEWS: Colorado activated SS Ezequiel Tovar from the 10-day IL and placed 2B Thairo Estrada on the 10-day IL.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: The Rockies switch out starting infielders and welcome back Tovar. Tovar had warmed up before his most recent IL stint, but his overall season numbers are still underwhelming with a .258 BA and 2 HRs over 132 ABs. Estrada had been hitting solidly since his return to the lineup, batting .284 with 2 HRs in 29 games. No timetable has been set for his return, but X-rays were negative on his thumb. Orlando Arcia, Kyle Farmer, and Ryan Ritter will likely handle second base with Estrada out as Tovar will take over his normal shortstop position.
