NEWS: Christian Walker suffered a strained oblique and is likely to miss some time that could extend into the regular season.

BHQ SPIN: Walker was held out of Wednesday’s game with a sore oblique. It was reported Thursday that he flew back to Houston for additional testing, which sounds a bit ominous as there are less than three weeks to Opening Day. For now, we’ve shifted a bit of PT from Walker to Jon Singleton, who showed up to camp in great shape and has been receiving accolades from staff, especially in terms of his defensive work. We’ll make further adjustments once there’s an announcement about a timeline for Walker’s recovery.
