The 25-year-old has a career MiLB line of .271/.365/.431, but was seen as more of a pure-hitter, high-BA type than a traditional slugging first baseman. But he started off the 2026 exhibition season with a power display of 3 HR in 16 AB. Rumfield’s main competition is Edouard Julien, also an offseason trade acquisition, but Julien has been slowed by a minor back injury....
