NEWS: Colorado placed SS Adael Amador and OF Charlie Blackmon on the 10-day IL and in corresponding moves activated 2B Brendan Rodgers from the 10-day IL and recalled OF Sam Hilliard from AAA-Albuquerque.

BHQ SPIN: Leadoff hitter Charlie Blackmon is dealing with a right hamstring strain and will need some time on the IL for that to heal. He’s still been a solid producer, sporting a slash line of .266/.337/.410 with 3 HRs and 5 SBs at age 37. Hilliard will take his spot on the roster and sports a power/speed combo, but he has never made enough contact to fully tap into it.
