NEWS: Rays closer Pete Fairbanks was placed on the injured list April 22 with what the team called a “nerve-related issue.”

BHQ SPIN: Manager Kevin Cash said Fairbanks felt “a zinger in his hand” while playing catch before Tampa’s April 20 game and then was sent for imaging and testing on his neck and shoulder two days later. “I really have no idea what we are looking for or what we are going to find,” Cash told reporters. “It might be nothing.” Fantasy managers no doubt hope that is true and are likely familiar with Fairbanks’ history with Raynaud’s syndrome, which can cause a pins-and-needles-type sensation to a person’s extremities and tends to be worse in colder...
