Weaver set for return, Williams hospitalized after short outing

After throwing a successful simulated game and bullpen session over the weekend, Jered Weaver (RHP, LAA) is set to return from the disabled list June 20. His BPIs through 11 starts are nearly identical to those of a year ago, and he has once again benefited from a low home run per fly ball rate (6%). While a hit rate correction will likely bring his ERA north of 3.00 at some point, Weaver's recent track record suggests he can be counted on as a reliable workhorse going forward.
