Brewers recall Peralta, Thornburg

Wily Peralta (RHP, MIL) has been recalled from Triple-A and will make his first major league start September 6 at Miami.  Peralta recorded an 8.8 Dom over 28 Triple-A starts, the second straight year he has shown that kind of Dom.  Unfortunately, he walked more batters, as his Ctl jumped to a 4.8 mark.  The end result was a mediocre 4.66 ERA and 1.59 WHIP.  The nine home runs allowed are promising, and Peralta still appears to have a bright future ahead of him.  However, his wildness makes the 23-year-old a high-risk, high-reward play in the short-term.

The Brewers also called up Tyler Thornburg (RHP, MIL), who appeared in five games (two starts) earlier in the year. The results...
