NEWS: The Rangers activated 1B Nathaniel Lowe from the 10-day IL and designated 1B Jared Walsh for assignment.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Lowe, recovered from his strained oblique, will immediately reclaim his everyday 1B role. That obviously pushes Walsh, who had fallen into a deep slump and lost his strongside platoon role, off the roster. It also nudges UT Ezequiel Duran back into a 3B platoon with UT Josh H. Smith while 3B Josh Jung is out, although we expect Duran to get a start or two at 1B against tough lefties, especially in the short term as Lowe continues to build up his stamina.
