NEWS: Arizona signed left-handed starter Jordan Montgomery to a one-year, $25M contract with a vesting option for 2025.

BHQ SPIN: With Montgomery putting pen to paper, the “Boras Four” have now all signed before Opening Day. The Diamondbacks saw holes appearing in their pitching staff with both Eduardo Rodriguez and Paul Sewald set to start the year on the IL, so they splurged on the southpaw. Montgomery will likely need some time to build up before making his 2024 debut depending on the work he’s been doing on his own and is likely to get a few April starts in the minors.
