NEWS: The Phillies signed Whit Merrifield to a contract that guarantees him approximately $8 million.

BHQ SPIN: Merrifield split his time equally between second base and the outfield in 2023. However, the presence of Bryson Stott at second suggests he will be playing the outfield much more often in Philadelphia.
