NEWS: 3B Jordan Westburg will begin the year on the 10-day IL after being diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow.

BHQ SPIN: Westburg, who had been rehabbing from an oblique injury, felt discomfort in his elbow while throwing, and imaging revealed a partial tear in his right ulnar collateral ligament. For now, Westburg will forgo surgery and receive a PRP injection in his elbow; he is expected to miss at least all of April, and a further timetable will depend on the effectiveness of the injection.
