Locklear gets shot as France fill-in

NEWS: Seattle placed 1B Ty France on the 10-day IL and in a corresponding move recalled 1B Tyler Locklear from AAA-Tacoma.

BHQ SPIN: France was hit with a pitch on Friday 6/7 and imaging showed a fracture in his heel. France had rebounded a bit from his tough 2023 and was batting .251 with 7 HRs in 211 ABs. His power metrics were also closer to 2021-2022 where he hit 18 and 20 HR respectively. France is looking at a minimum of 6 weeks on the IL, but he may not be back until August. To replace France on the active roster and first base, Locklear made his major league debut on Sunday 6/9. Locklear has hit throughout his time in the minors and has a .298 career BA with 29 HRs in his 167 games....
