NEWS: SS Corey Seager is likely to miss the rest of the 2024 season with a hip injury.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: It’s possible Seager returns late in the year, but that appears unlikely. Seager’s absence carries a big trickle-down effect on the TEX lineup. UT Josh H. Smith will become the primary SS, which opens up plenty of AB around the diamond. Best bets to claim those are UT Ezequiel Duran, DH Justin Foscue, OF Travis Jankowski, and IF Jonathan Ornelas—in roughly that order, most likely. Newly recalled 26-year-old rookie OF Sandro Fabian will get a few AB as well.
