NEWS: Miami placed closer Pete Fairbanks on the 15-day IL with right medial irritation and recalled lefty Dax Fulton from Triple-A Jacksonville.

BHQ SPIN: It’s not clear how much time Fairbanks will miss, but he has been diagnosed with Raynaud’s syndrome, which can cause numbness in the fingers. Fairbanks missed time earlier in 2026 with a nerve issue, suggesting this might be a long duration issue. For now, we’ve cut his playing time projection to 3% and his save projection to 40%. Calvin Faucher is the favorite to close games in Fairbanks’ absence and we’ve given him a 35% saves projection. Michael Peterson is also a late inning option, and we’ve given him a 15% saves projection....
