DOUBLE DIPPIN': July 3-9

We have reached the halfway point of the season and now the final week leading up to the All-Star break. That means no "Looking Ahead" at the end of this column, as we'll have to wait and see how the rotations line up post-break.

It also means that some of the weekend starts could be more abbreviated than usual, as they could get pulled at the first sign of trouble. Managers know they'll be able to give most of their bullpen arms a few days off and may push them hard, or can even go to another starter on short rest for a couple innings. 

We have some interesting names on the two-start list below, including a hot shot recent call-up, one coming off a perfect game, and some potential traps with current ERA's lower than what they have...
