Rainy conditions could be what the Guardians and Twins are dealing with in an evening contest in Minneapolis. There is an above-average allotment of good pitchers twirling on this first day of June.

Framber Valdez has gone seven-plus innings in four of his last seven starts. Valdez owns a 2.68 ERA over that stretch. Albeit in back-to-back starts against the woeful Oakland Athletics, he’s allowed just one run over his last 15 IP. Current LAA batters own a whiff-heavy .668 OPS against the Houston port-sider.
