DAILY MATCHUPS: Stripling set to tame Tigers

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: There are 15 games on today’s docket, and while the game in Atlanta (ARI@ATL) could see a rain delay early, the weather should clear up as the night progresses. Boston (MIL@BOS) and San Francisco (CHC@SFG) are both expected to see 10+ MPH winds.

Notable Starts:

Ross Stripling should capitalize on his strong matchup rating, as he faces a Tigers team that owns MLB’s worst OPS, wOBA, and wRC+ against RHP. Over the last month (20.2 IP), Stripling recorded a 3.05 ERA despite a 66% strand rate and higher BABIP than his season mark. He has also allowed only one walk or less in each of his last six starts, and home/road splits are in Stripling’s favor.

Ranger Suárez has a favorable matchup...
