DAILY MATCHUPS: Lodolo looks to gain momentum

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Thanks to a doubleheader in Chicago (NYM@CHC), there are 16 games on today’s slate. Winds and rain could affect those games, but forecasts elsewhere don’t hint at danger of delays and/or postponements.  

 

Notable Starts: 

The Cardinals are limping towards the All-Star Break, while Nick Lodolo has looked excellent over his last two starts against quality opponents. While it was only 9.2 innings, he still recorded a 2.79 ERA despite a .458 BABIP. His 22% K-BB rate across those two starts is elite, so if the Reds' top pitching prospect can take advantage of a floundering St. Louis lineup that ranks in the Bottom-10 in MLB in OPS, wOBA, and wRC+, he should greatly outperform his less-than-inspiring...
