Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Today features just eight games, most of which are in the afternoon. Fortunately, there’s very little risk for weather intervention. It is quite hot at Coors Field.

Framber Valdez is one of just two notable pitchers in the entire slate. He isn’t always a four-category monster – as we saw last week when he allowed seven hits, three walks, and three runs in 6.1 innings with just three strikeouts. Despite the occasional middling outing, he’s an automatic start against any opponent thanks to his ridiculous ground ball rate, ability to limit home runs, and penchant for pitching deep into outings.
