Ashcraft leads the way on the final Friday before the break

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: We have a 15-game slate on tap, starting with the Phillies and Tigers at 6:40 pm ET. There are slight chances of rain in the Midwest; otherwise, plenty of nice hitting conditions around the diamond. With some suspect pitching matchups, we have at least six games with projected totals of 9 runs or more.

Notable Starts:

Braxton Ashcraft bounced back nicely in his last start, allowing one run over 5.2 innings pitched with seven strikeouts versus the Nats. Ashcraft is having a great season for the Pirates and has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five starts, with a 3.14 ERA and 3.26 xERA. He’s showing great skills, with a 30% K% supported by 13.7% SwK% and 6% BB%, for a 23% K-BB%....
