RESEARCH: Injury-prone players—Myth or reality?

Giancarlo Stanton's fantasy value has dropped. Entering the 2016 season, owners drafted him in the first or second round, but in early 2017 returns of Average Draft Position, he’s dropped to the 3rd round or later. His ADP slide centers on his frustrating injuries. In 2015, he broke his wrist in late June and his season was over. In May of 2016, he suffered a groin injury which cost him some playing time and power. In August, he went on the disabled list (DL) for about a month for the same injury.
