Scouting the South Atlantic League in April is a vast wonderland. While prospect media has done a better job of scouting the amateur draft and the short-season leagues, we’re still very much in the dark about prospects debuting in full-season leagues like the Sally. Rome (Single-A Braves) and Hickory (Single-A Rangers) are always chock full of surprises. It is imperative to get to those teams early every year because almost 90% of their organization’s best prospects will pass through their Sally affiliate at some point in their development.
