FANALYTICS: Fun with meaningless numbers

This week on the Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio channel, former major league player Cliff Floyd made the following comment about the return of Hanley Ramirez. I'm paraphrasing: "I don't care if he boots a few balls if he's also hitting bombs."

It got me to thinking... what is an acceptable number of errors? When evaluating players, can we really use the "positive" of home runs to offset the "negative" of fielding miscues?
