CHASING THE 2016 NFBC: The draft

As I entered the Las Vegas draft room for our Glenneration X / Baseball HQ Main Event team on March 31st, my plan was simple and three-fold. Take the best available player regardless of position or category concerns early on in the draft to build the strongest possible foundation. If pitching gets pushed up hard as it did during the NYC Main Event drafts, do not get caught up in the runs and instead grab the offense that falls. Once the draft reaches the double digit rounds, fill in around the foundation built in the early rounds, but also don't hesitate
